Jerry Byington, City of Minneapolis Public Works Fleet Equipment Supervisor, brought a dump truck for kids and adults to explore to our Sips and Scoops event at the Urban Ventures Farm Stand in August 2019.  This 13 cubic yard dump truck weighs approximately 56,000 pounds and costs about $170,000.  It’s used to haul materials and plow city street.  In the winter, they add a sander and front and underbelly plows to clear the streets.
