On December 3, MnDOT joined middle school students and families at Justice Page Middle School in Minneapolis for their annual STEAM night. Kids explored different aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) from robotics to engineering at the open house-style event. Throughout the night, families stopped by the 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown project booth to learn more about construction and engage with MnDOT’s interactive STEM activities.

The 35W@94 project team assisted kids in building, inspecting, and testing their finished bridge. Students were encouraged to think about highway planning and engineering by testing out different highway interchange methods. The 35W@94 project team is always excited to engage with the next generation of engineers and transportation planners.
