As part of our Sips & Scoops series, MnDOT visited the Washburn Library in Minneapolis on November 10 so people could learn about the 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown project and winter road maintenance. Staff even brought a snowplow! More than 60 attendees asked questions as they sipped hot cocoa. Kids (and adults) climbed behind the wheel of the snowplow. The event was also a chance to talk with the public about safe winter driving in construction zones and around snowplows at work.
MnDOT will continue the Sips & Scoops series throughout the project. These events are opportunities for MnDOT to connect with the project community and have conversations on a variety of topics ranging from the traffic to transportation funding, and everything in between. Experts will be in attendance to answer questions and build relationships that extend beyond construction. So come get the scoop while you have a sip.
The next Sips & Scopes event will take place on Dec. 4 at Finnegan’s Brewery (817 S 5th Ave.) in Downtown Minneapolis from 4:30-6:00 pm. Special guest Charlie Zelle, MnDOT Commissioner, will field questions from Tane Danger of the Theater of Public Policy. We hope you can join in the fun!
